There must be very few Christians who do not acknowledge the importance of the Bible in worship. At the very least they will read the Scriptures, often under the discipline of a lectionary that ensures they read a wide and balanced selection. They may also sing the Scriptures in biblical canticles or in songs that stay very close to biblical texts.
