Description
Prayer: Challenging God
Challenging God,
when we commit ourselves to following your way,
and to the pattern that Jesus set us for daily living,
we often feel out of step with the people in the world around us.
It’s not because we want to cut ourselves off from them.
It’s not because we consider ourselves to be better people than they are.
It’s not because we condemn others for their behaviour.
But we do look at life differently when we look at it through your eyes.
And other people don’t always understand that.
So, although we live in the same world,
work, study, shop and relax in the same places,
we sometimes feel detached from all that is going on around us –
almost as if we were living in a parallel universe.
