We should never try to explain the mind of God nor attempt to comprehend the means whereby he acts, but in reading the first chapter of the letter to the Ephesians we can become transfixed by the word “predestined” and demand answers. The doctrine of predestination has exercised the intellect of theologians for centuries, and any explanation always leaves unanswerable questions...
