Mark 7 v 24-37

There is a curiously touching detail in the story of the healing of the deaf and mute man in Mark’s gospel (7 v 31-37). The man had been deaf for many years (probably from birth since he could “hardly talk”)  and therefore  Jesus “took him aside, away from the crowd” so that he should not be startled and overwhelmed when his hearing was restored...
