Christmas Communion:
Here in the night light we wait for communion, fellowship with each other and union with Christ.
Here in the chill we remember night of birth and celebration in Bethlehem.
But let us pause.
That night was bleak.
A birth was expected.
Home was far away.
Kindness offered shelter, but a stable we are told.
A bale of straw for comfort?
What a foretaste of a banquet. Some banquet!
