1 Corinthians 5.6-13

If you’ve ever been in a Jewish home at Passover-time, you’ll know what Paul is talking about in verses 7 and 8. It’s a tradition that’s been kept for more than three thousand years, ever since the Jewish people came out of Egypt at the Exodus. That night, they had to hurry. They were going to be on their way soon, and there wouldn’t be time to do the normal domestic things. They would have to bake their bread without the normal leaven they used to make it rise, so that they could cook it quickly, carry it easily, and eat it in a hurry...
