Matthew 17: 1 – 9
Respite, that’s what I need, respite. Do you ever
have one of those periods when you just need
lifting out of yourself? And then it comes, like a
gift from God. You get an unexpected ‘phone call,
a letter, perhaps an email from half across the
world. Suddenly your life is alight with unexpected
joy and you want to cry out, ‘Alleluia!’ – But may
be you’re too reserved. No one’s looking so you
do it anyway, and take a little dance across the
living room. Quick check… no one saw …. it’s all
right! Bit like a heaven sent pick me up, that; and
