Description
At the end of the world,
as we know it –
when the earth implodes
and a vast fire
wipes out time itself;
stopping the clocks,
shattering schedules
and plans
and futures –
will we be there to see it?
Or is that picture
only an epic of imagination;
shown, watched, absorbed,
but then discarded
as the wild fantasy
of a morbid mind?
Yet one day,
as inevitable as the sunset,
time will stop
for each of us
and we do not know
when that day is ours.
