Preaching for learning

If our ministry of preaching is to be effective we need to do at least two things: to understand the role of sermons in the context of the learning that is already taking place in our congregations through reflection; and to preach in such a way that our hearers have the best chance of listening, remembering, learning and putting the message into practice.
