Meditation on Matthew 22: 1-14
Gaze on the one character in this
story who has nothing to say: the
bridegroom. He’s dressed in all his
finery, proud and anxious, for
tomorrow is his big day when he’ll
meet his bride, possibly for the first
time. The banquet is in his honour,
but where are the guests? Where
are his friends, his cousins, and the
children he grew up with? The waiters
stand around staring straight ahead...
