Psalm 53:1, 3

The Bible offers no arguments for the existence of God. It doesn’t engage with the intellectual case for or against. It simply assumes God. It makes me think that the person this psalm has in mind is not the atheist or agnostic who wrestles with questions of faith but the amoral or immoral who lives life defiantly as if there were no God. The ‘corrupt’ are those who exploit others with no sense of their own accountability or culpability. They feel they can get away with murder. The uncompromising message in the Bible is that even if they do in this life they will not forever...
