Meditation/ poem: God’s testimony
It’s not always easy
to keep on believing in God.
It may be possible
to say that we believe,
but in our heart of hearts to know
that there is doubt and uncertainty.
We are rational beings,
or we arrogantly proclaim we are.
And in that arrogance
lies the seed of hesitant defiance;
the root of unbelief
nurtured by the society around us
that urges us to individuality
and selfish living.
