Reassuring God,
we come to thank you for all those caring and compassionate people who offer support and encouragement to others in so many different ways.
Their love and their service is offered willingly and with a true spirit of dedication.
Yet we so often forget to pray for these people.
How often do we stop to think of the strains and stresses of their committed work?
How often do we criticise when things go wrong and put the blame at their door?
How often do we forget our own role in supporting and helping those who are the public face of Christian work and witness?
