Reflection: Samaritan believers …?

It must have been a shock, hearing that Samaritans had accepted the word of God.
They were the ancient enemies.
Their territory was treated as a foreign land.
The dispute between their two factions had been bitter and long-standing.
There was doctrinal disagreement and open hostility.
How could God be in two places at once, especially when it came to the issue of a central focus for worship?
What had changed?
Had it changed?
Was the news really true; or merely a rumour intended to mock the followers of Jesus and cause disruption to their belief in their mission?
There must have been some doubt amongst those whose distrust of the Samaritans had been ingrained in them from childhood.
