A temple filled with a cloud of glory and ready to receive a God who had been faithful to the people and had travelled with them to safety and security.
A temple dedicated by a king, knowing his ambition had been achieved to make a permanent place of residence for the tent in which the wandering God had been carried.
A temple designed to attract attention and to impress all that saw it, confirming that this God was above all other gods and this building was lavish proof of the fact.
