Description
A hymn about the beginning of Jesus ministry (Mark 1 – ‘this is the beginning of the gospel...) with allusion to the wedding at Cana in Galilee (John 2)), Jesus words in the Synagogue after reading from the scroll (Luke 4), and our continued commitment to living out the gospel.
Tune: KNECT
Extract:
The gospel is beginning,
the Christ has come to birth,
and lives in present action
God's human love on earth.
The signs of Kingdom coming
are at a wedding feast;
then where the cold find clothing,
or prisoners are released.
The signs of Kingdom coming
are seen in bread and wine,
in laughter and thanksgiving,
in symbol, act and sign.
