Description
The Sixth Sunday of Easter
Traces of Glory Year B
Acts 10: 44-48
Psalm 98
1 John 5: 1-6
John 15: 9-17
Lord, as you have chosen us, empower an equip us, make us worthy of our calling that we may reveal your love and show forth your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit abides for ever. Amen.
We rejoice that you have called us to be the sons and daughters of God,
You have given us a faith in you that conquers all things.
Bless, O Lord, all who are seeking to live by what they believe,
All who long to hear your word and do your will.
We pray for all in their ministry and vocation,
Especially any going through a time of trial or temptation.
Lord of all creation,
Your will be done.
Guide all leaders in industry and commerce;
May the goods of this world be neither hoarded nor squandered.
We pray that there may be a fairer distribution of wealth.
We pray for all who are ill-treated in the world of trade.
Lord of all creation,
Your will be done.
Lord, we rejoice that you have called us to know you,
You have called us to love you,
You have called us to serve you.
May we reveal our calling, love and service in all our dealings.
Lord, bless and protect our homes and loved ones.
Lord of all creation,
Your will be done.
Lord of love, be a comfort to the sorrowing,
Be a strength to the weak, give hope to all who are dying.
We pray for all who have been injured this week,
All who have fallen into illness or disability,
For those who can no longer cope on their own;
That each in their trouble know your love.
Lord of all creation,
Your will be done.
We pray for our loved ones departed.
We look forward to the time when we shall see you, and know,
When we shall know and love,
When we shall love and enjoy you for ever,
When we shall share with your saints in glory.
Lord of all creation,
Your will be done.
THE PEACE
Peace be in your dealings.
Peace be in your thinking.
Peace be in your life.
The peace of the Lord be always with you
and also with you.
THE BLESSING
Love the Lord your God, with all your heart and mind and strength:
Your neighbor as yourself; and the blessing…………..
