Thrilled though I was to have employment in the City of London, I could not see myself remaining as a telephonist of a city bank for ever. As much as I tried to do the work to the very best of my ability, after six years I became bored and thought that I had to stretch my mind a bit more. I started to study psychology. Initially I did this as a part-time course studying in the evenings, but the more my mind was opened by what I read, dealing with the great thinkers of our century from both a psychological point of view and a religious point of view, the more I realized that I could not stand still...
