Not one bit, I suspect.
We may not have been able to take in the evidence of our own eyes, but it was there and we couldn’t deny it. Gentiles had been given the gift of new tongues in which to praise God, through the Holy Spirit, just as we had known it happen to us and many others.
Of course it was something of a shock. Up till that point the only people we knew who had been given the gift of the Holy Spirit had been Jews, like us. It had never occurred to us that Gentiles might also be included in this experience.
We had been taken aback in the first place by Peter’s announcement that God had called him to go immediately to Caesarea, to the house of the Gentile Cornelius.
