Mothering Sunday Exodus 2: 1-10 Psalm 34: 11-20 (H&P 847) II Corinthians 1: 3-7 Luke 2: 33-35 Paul uses a metaphor of ‘light and dark’ to describe the Christian journey, but it could also describe the way ecological issues develop— the light (of the sun) brings forth the (literal) harvest. So perhaps ecological sensitivity ‘pleases the Lord’ (v 10). So verse 15—be careful how you live—is a timely reminder for those who care about the earth. …but we expect you will have other thoughts today...
