Remember how violently the water rushed, stronger than a battering-ram, breaking down river banks and inundating the streets and homes. Look inside the privacy of a once comfortable home, at carpets patterned with mud, wallpaper lined with mould, and chairs piled up on tables. Gaze on the pictures of people in other countries, suffering from mud slides that bury whole villages. Gaze on the people of Bangladesh who wade up to their necks in water to reach safety.
