Meditation on Matthew 4: 12-23

Gaze on Jesus returning from the
wilderness, where Matthew has
left him in the preceding verse.
His face is drawn and haggard,
he’s lost several pounds in weight,
and his beard’s untrimmed. He
must have been quite a frightening
sight coming over the hills to the
south of Nazareth and returning
home, back to the safety of family.
