Description
The Bible makes it clear that God knows each of us by name. Jesus calls the man lowered through the roof 'my friend' as he forgives his sins (Luke 5:20) and he addresses the disciples as 'friends' (John 15:14-15). Most people find it helpful to think about Jesus as a friend and brother, not just a remote historical figure.
Session aim: To understand that everyone can be a friend of Jesus, as he knows our names.
