After an introduction the author attempts to view Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem through the eyes of ones of the children reported to have been singing his praises in the temple - much to the annoyance some!

Temple Praise: Based on Matthew 21 v 1-17
That was me that was! The story you just read. That was me!! The bit about the noisy children in the temple? That was me! Course, it was a while ago now but I remember it as if it were yesterday. I was always a bit religious – so my mum says. Always asking questions, and praying even as a little one. She always said it was a shame that I couldn’t really be part of all the festivals at the temple because, out of all of us, I was the one who would really appreciate it. I couldn’t go into the temple proper on account of my gammy leg; apparently it happened at birth. One of those things Mum said. The priest said it was a sign of sin and so I was unclean and not allowed in. I tried on a couple of occasions but got shooed off by the priests. ‘Get off with ya.’
They had no mercy them lot. I had to use a crutch to get around in those days.
