LEN Nice day for it Barry
BARRY Yes, Len. You know Len I do envy you the shine you get on your paintwork.
LEN My father was a great Polisher, and his father before him, Barry. But then I admire how black you get the black bits, Barry.
BARRY I miss the Chromework.
LEN So do we all brother, so do we all. Look, here comes Colin. Morning Colin, a little late this morning.
COLIN It’s my Kevin, he’s bought himself a new motor. Well, I say new, new to him I mean, - secondhand of course.
BARRY You had me worried there for a moment Colin. But where is he? Why isn’t he out on the front drive polishing it like the rest of us?
COLIN That’s the worrying thing, Barry. He’s out driving it around! I said he could share my drive, but would he? Would he heck!
LEN That’s worrying Colin, these youngsters don’t realise when you get a car there’s only a few gallons in the tank and it soon goes if you aren’t careful. I pride myself on the fact that I have had this car more years than I care to remember but there’s only half a gallon less petrol in the tank now than when I bought it.
COLIN I know. He’ll find himself stranded on the by-pass and it’ll be a long, long way to walk every Sunday when he wants to polish it!
