Gaze on all the ethnic cleansing that has gone on down the ages – innocents massacred, women raped and the elderly displaced, staring at us every day from our newspapers, driven from home by the tyranny of warlords. Gaze and do not flinch. Gaze on street children, orphaned by AIDS and scrabbling in waste heaps for food. Gaze on drug barons who play with the lives of the weak for profit. Gaze on dictators who trample over the rights of others just to stay in power...
