You’re Fired!
Luke 16: 1-13
Year C – Proper 20

The Master is sitting on an office chair looking over his accounts and talking to himself.
Master: What’s this? A rolex, a Ferrari, ten grand for a duck pond! [Shouting/talking on a phone] Send in my business manager. Someone is about to get fired.
Shrewd Manager enters and stands in front of the Master.
Master: I’ve been looking over your expenses.
Shrewd Manager: Yes, Lord Sugarlump.
Master: Designer outfits, flash cars, fancy gadgets. You don’t need any of this. You have been wasting my money. I’ve had enough! You’re Fired.
Master spins round in his chair so his back is to the audience.
Shrewd Manager: Now what am I going to do? I am not cut out for an honest day’s work and I can’t sleep on the streets, not in this suit.
Olive oil seller enters: Olive oil, get your olive oil here!
