In our seminary in England, faculty and students worked as teams in planning and leading worship. While this was a great privilege and I enjoyed it when it was my team’s turn, my heart would also sink somewhat when our period of duty arrived because it would take hours to discuss and sort out and practice what we were going to do. Our seminary in California has a different system, but when I am taking part in leading worship in some way, I get a sequence of e-mails about the arrangements, then a request to show up half an hour early for sound check.
