Gaze on the ways we glorify people in this world. We plaster their faces over our newspapers and report on their every word and their every move. We glorify them with huge salaries and a trail of photographers who follow their every action. We turn them into celebrities.
Gaze on the way God glorifies his Son, as he breaks through the barrier between heaven and earth. Listen to the voice from heaven: ‘I have glorified [his name] and will glorify it again’ (v. 28). God’s voice can sound as terrifying as thunder or as peaceful as angels. The crowd that witnessed this glorification couldn’t be sure...
