2 We’ve never had it so good!

By any standards, the period from the early 1980s to the mid- 1990s has been a remarkable period of transformation for British evangelicalism. In the years prior to this, the expectation of growth in most churches was minimal, media attention was virtually non-existent and the idea of making an impact on society was little more than a pipe dream. Today, not only has decline in church attendance apparently bottomed out, but many evangelical churches are growing dramatically and new churches are being planted regularly.
