3 Worlds Apart

As I have already stated, the post-evangelical impetus quite often draws its initial strength from the sense of irritation many people feel with evangelical ‘culture’. I would now like to illustrate this with some concrete examples. If it were simply a case of differences of taste over, say, music or films, or style of dress, the problems could doubtless be overcome fairly easily; indeed, far greater tolerance exists nowadays with regard to such things. The sort of issues I am talking about are more likely to be thought of by evangelicals as being fundamental to the Christian life, or at least to Christian holiness, hence the problem is rather deeper…
